Scarecrow Contest

 

 

 This year our Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a “Make a Scarecrow Contest” in conjunction with our Farm City Activities.  We are asking businesses, industries, schools, individuals and civic clubs to take part in this contest.   We would like for the participating businesses and industries to make a scarecrow using the products you produce or sell.  Scarecrows will be judged on the following:

·        Creativity

·        Use of products

·        Overall appearance

 

Categories will be divided into:

·        Civic clubs, individuals, and churches

·        Schools and daycares

·        Business and industry

 

One first place overall winner will be awarded $100.00.  All categories will receive 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place ribbons. The scarecrows will be displayed at the Valley Community Center .  You may begin to set up and display your scarecrow anytime between now and November 4^th.  All scarecrows MUST be set up at the Community Center by 5 p.m. on November 4^th. (Be sure and display the name of your organization near or on your scarecrow.)
