Steamboatin’ On the Chattahoochee

10:00 am – 4:00 pm  ET

at the West Point Depot

 

 

·       Talk with Underwater Archaeologists, See artifacts recovered,

View slides of their West Point expedition, Learn of future plans!

·       View exhibit of Chattahoochee Navigation Company, West Point’s own steamship company in the 1880’s!

·       See a demonstration on Gold Panning and exhibit on East Alabama gold mining

·       Enjoy homemade treats on “Aunt Polly’s Porch” such as homemade tea cakes, lemonade and more!

 Historical Scavenger Hunt in Downtown West Point!

 

Saturday, March 13   10 am – 4 pm

 

 

  A Downtown Walking “Hunt” for 1880’s Townspeople

 

 

Purchase your tickets at the Depot the Day of the Event

 

Tickets    $5 adult      $2 child

 

You’ll receive a map of West Point in the 1880’s, with

clues to find the townspeople, who will be distributing stickers for your ticket.  When completed, return to the Depot and adults can enter tickets into drawing for a

 

Chance to WIN TOM’s TREASURE CHEST

Full of great prizes, including $100 CASH, free admission to

Six Flags and Stone Mountain Park, and even some real GOLD from Dahlonega, Georgia!!!!

 

Every Child’s Ticket completed and returned receives a PRIZE!

Children should be accompanied by an adult for safety reasons
