Greater Valley Area

Getting Here is Easy!

It’s very easy to reach the Greater Valley Area from the rest of the world! We’re located along the busy I-85 corridor right on the Alabama-Georgia state line, roughly halfway between Atlanta and Montgomery. Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport – with direct flights to and from many parts of the world – is only an hour away.

For smaller aircraft, there’s the conveniently local Lanett, Ala., Municipal Airport and LaGrange (Ga.) Callaway Airport, some 14 miles east.

Our area, known as East Alabama-West Central Georgia, is also “in the middle” from a north-south perspective.

We’re only about half an hour via I-185 to Columbus, Ga., and Fort Benning, site of the famed Infantry Museum and Soldier Center at Patriot Park.

U.S. Highway 29 runs through the Greater Valley Area and it’s easy to connect with U.S. highways 431 and 280 about 30 miles away in Opelika, Ala., and U.S. 27 in LaGrange.

Regardless of the way you choose to come, you’ll find it’s worth staying a while when you get here!
